I'm Bruce Jacobs,
a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with over 40 years of construction
and home renovation experience. For 12 years I have been providing thorough home inspections
and am an expert in providing inspections for Newly Purchased Homes, Tarion Warranties,
Conditional Offer and Investment Properties. I am also a member of the Ontario Association
of Home Inspection (OAHI) and the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspection.
(CAHPI).
Many things are going on in a home that you may not be aware of, such as roof
deterioration, foundational damage, or a faulty water heater. I help my clients understand
their houses and give the advice, guidance, and strategies to avoid future problems. I’m
always happy to answer your questions so that you feel like you know your home.
Born and raised in Kitchener,
I have been servicing Kitchener-Waterloo,
Cambridge, Guelph, Elmira and the surrounding districts for decades. After graduating
from the Kitchener Collegiate Institute tech program, I framed houses for six years before
starting my own general carpentry and home renovation company. Since 1984 , I helped
countless customers by providing a wide variety of home renovations.
In 2000, I joined the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors I then furthered my
education through O.A.H.I. and George Brown College, while maintaining my carpentry
and home renovation business.I achieved one of the highest home inspector designations in
North America (RHI) by finishing over 250 hours of course work and completing over 200
peer-reviewed home inspections. Since receiving my certification, I have done over 900
home inspections.
Since 2008
I have owned and operated Jacobs Property Inspections. I have
maintained my business by following a firm code of ethics that ensures my honesty and
integrity. My attention to detail keeps me inspecting houses for 3 hours at minimum. I do
this to ensure that my clients are very well informed
After each of my inspections, I will provide photographs, a detailed report, and a
priority list that explains the steps you must take to enjoy your home safely for the
foreseeable future. My many years of experience in housing industry allow me to provide
with confidence, newly purchased homes, pre-purchase (buyer), pre-listing (seller),
property maintenance, renovation and consulting (owner), as well as Tarion new home
inspections.
